    Healthcare Improvement Scotland

The Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP), led and supported by Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s Improvement Hub is a unique national programme that aims to improve the safety of healthcare.

The dentistry collaborative aims to improve patient safety by engaging dental teams and supporting them in the use of quality improvement methodology which has become well established in other primary care settings.

This collaboration focuses on medical history, medicines and prescribing and promotes improved communication with other primary care providers, particularly pharmacists and GPs, resulting in safer and more reliable integrated care for patients.
